National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS)

  • Date of NSEJS 3rd week of November
  • Last Date for Registration for NSEJS :  2nd week of September
  • Eligibility (NSEJS):

  • All Indian students who are born between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2006, both days inclusive.
  • In addition, are in Class X or lower as of November 30, 2019, are eligible to appear in NSEJS 2020.
  • Must be residing and studying in India since 30 November 2016 or earlier.
  • Must not be appearing in any of NSEA, NSEB, NSEC or NSEP 2019.
  • If they qualify in the NSEJS, they will be eligible for subsequent stages leading to participation in International Junior Science Olympiad 2018.

  • The syllabus for NSEJS will be broadly equivalent to the secondary school level (upto Class X) of CBSE. The different basic subjects of science (physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics) will have roughly equal emphasis. However, questions may pertain to syllabus of class XI.
